Kyoto Beer was born in 1995 as the first craft beer in Kyoto.
It is brewed by a sake maker, using their sake-brewing techniques.
One of the beers, Blonde Ale, is made with Yamada Nishiki, a premium sake rice, and Fushimizu, the famous water also used for sake.
It features fine bubbles, a mellow flavour, and a soft, light golden colour.
